Nice when a few lure designs catch a few species
#1
This lake is know for it's large pan fish, not so much for it's bass, but many species were caught on a few grub designs rigged on a 1/16 oz ballhead jig. Even caught fish on 2" of the tail of a plastic worm rigged on the same size jig. The counter at the end of the day said 76 fish caught and released including this 3 lb 10 oz channel cat caught on a bass jig with plastic trailer:

Even a few warmouth sunfish were caught:

Tail of the plastic worm that caught over 20 fish of different species:

Here's the hand injected grub that caught a bunch of crappie and other species in the school after 4 pm (pretty chewed up) :

Hand tied jig and hand poured trailer that caught many small bass and the cat:

Different approach for cats, but I'll try a jig for them. Always open to new ideas.

Today:
Noted the number on my counter at the end of the day - 49 fish - that were caught on a few designs and a few colors. Bass were caught on 1/2 oz skirted jig heads and trailers, while the three other fish species were caught on 1/8 oz jigs and soft plastics. Perfect early fall day to be on the water!
