Next time save your money and get one with a warranty. Shimano comes to mind. Until then, don't pull your rod up in the air when snagged. Hold it out straight so no tension is on the rod and pull back to snap line. Push comes to shove, cut the line. A lot cheaper than buying a new rod. Good one that is.
