Yes it seems to be with this breed, but she only holds the point for a few minutes then walks away or picks up the feathers and brings them back..

Holding a point for longer then a minute is more then enough. The fresh scent of a live bird will make all the difference in the world! Obedience training is all a bird dog really needs. The rest is natural and will come with field experience. Get him on birds early and get him comfortable around guns.
