National Park Service Gun Ban Repealed! - Wyobraz - 05-20-2009 I watched this debate and vote in the House of Reps. today on C-Span. This is pretty much a done deal, and although Obama still has to sign the bill, it is expected he will sign it by the end of the week. Right now it looks like law abiding citizens have won this battle. Now that the liberals finally got into the white house, its ![]() [signature] Re: [Wyobraz] National Park Service Gun Ban Repealed! - Wyobraz - 05-22-2009 This was signed into law today!!! But like most laws it will not go into effect until February when the original bill this amendment was attached does the same. Oh wait Obama signed the bill that reverses the law Reagan signed back in 1981 banning loaded firearms in National Parks. This paranoia is the best thing that ever happened to the gun industry. The're selling all their stock at a premium- lots of jobs and big profits in the industry. [signature] Re: [riverdog] National Park Service Gun Ban Repealed! - Wyobraz - 05-23-2009 Riverdog, Come on man, you don't really think Obama would have signed the Gun portion of this bill on it's own merits do ya? Hell, he would not even stand up and appeal the Anti-Gun judge's decision earlier this year that reinstated the Reagan era rule that Bush had already overturned. The plain and simple fact is if it were not for Sen. Corburn successfully amending this to Obama's pet credit card bill that he wouldn't dare veto, it would not be a law. As for the paranoia some of it is unjustified, but a large portion of it is absolutely to be blamed on Obama and the liberal side of the Democratic party. Between Obama's campaign rhetoric of passing national laws eliminating CCW permits nation wide, to the post election rhetoric of reinstating the Assault Weapon ban by not only his Attorney General, Secretary of State, but he himself had it on his own Presidential Whitehouse website until just a few weeks ago. Then you have about eight anti-gun bills in Congress that has been introduced by liberal Democrats. This type of propoganda does nothing but add fuel to the paranioa. But there is a bright side to this, at least our citizens are the most armed they have ever been! If Obama wants the American Citizens to actually beleive he stands for the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens, there are several bills in Congress right now that would solidify our rights he should push Congress too pass. But he won't, and I guarantee that if he is to sign anymore gun related bills during his presidency, they will either be bills restricting our rights, or they will be pro rights bills that are attached to legislation that he would not dare veto.
