Anyone familiar with camping along the littlewood where it enters the reservoir an how the fishing might be there? Considering going camping here this weekend for my birthday.

Fishing used to be pretty fun there in May and June. I have not been there in 30 years and never this time of year. Spring fed creek is pretty low I would suspect. Used to be a few nice spots below the dam also only fished in the early summer. We never had much trouble catching fish in the lake above or below.

There were trout feeding in the pools but had left my lisence at home. Its going in my billfold fom now on! We had an awesome time camping! Nothing better than coming home smelling like wood smoke cdso I did have a great birthday!

Made it Friday night and had a great day Saturday driving around. The reservoir was very low and that is a very long ramp to back down with a boat!, The campground is very well kept up and really nice all around. There are some nice unimproved camping areas along the rivet with out houses, if needed. Lots of history with the mines and the sheep ranches there.Next time we'll go in the jeep and go up to the mines. We found out one of the roads we .ooked at went to Bellevue so we took it bak, lots to see!
We missed the moving of the 1500 head of sheep for the ketchum for the trailing of the sheep, but Bellevue was full of people. Fishing wise none was done. The res. was windy and would have been dificult to shore fish except for at the bottom of the ramp maybe. When we had lunch by the river I watched for rises but saw none, however IT did find a new looking black wooly bugger. Next trip mightbe balanced rock park. [signature] |
