Standing ovation for Snake River fisheries
#1
Our SLC-based bass club took two trips north this season ----- Walcott in June & CJ Strike last weekend. What amazing fisheries. Can now understand why Idaho has so many successful long-running bass clubs, regionals for your state teams, etc. Our Lake Powell is quite a fishery itself; however, it runs thru the least populated area of our state, and is quite a loooong drive. Your Snake River, by comparison, courses across the state thru major civilizations. I always heard about the bass (and perch)
fishing in Idaho. Now I get it, and I am thoroughly impressed.

There are not enough weekends to fish it all.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mike.
My parents live in Mountain Home and it never fails to amaze me what an incredible place the Snake River plain is!
I wished I could afford to bail out of Utah and pick up a little ranch up there somewhere along the Snake.
