My friend mike has never been in a pontoon. In fact her has not been in any boat since 1993. So this was going to be an adventure.
I have been catching sturgeon for several years. I have taken a LOT of people fishing this way but I have only had two people hook up with their own fish. Well I took mike and I told him you can be stubborn and not take a handed off pole Or you can take the pole and feel the power. He chose to share after his second one.
His first fish was a 3 to 4 foot fish. It jumped for me and pulled for him. I tell everyone that you NEVER,NEVER, NEVER let them get under the boat. His second fish got under the boat almost wrapped his leg and went nuts. Lets just say he got very lucky. I caught a couple of small ones too and that puts me at 18 for the year.
