There are three options for ocean salmon fishing this year, and option 1 is a complete shutdown for all recreational and commercial salmon fishing. I am attaching an article on this. The Seattle Times has also run several articles this week. This could be fatal for many towns and businesses. For example, in Sekiu where I fish the two major resorts were sold this past year. This would be a major economical hit, since salmon are 99% of their business. I know this is the Idaho site, but so many of us make the trek to the Columbia, Olympic Pen., and ocean sites, this is important news to many of you.....besides, I know the moderator, and am sure he will make an exception this time!! P.S.: Also, expect big changes for Buoy 10, Straits, and Puget Sound seasons.
