Headed up to Causey today hoping for good ice. It was plenty thick between 9 and 10 inches. Fishing was not as good. Only saw a few on the sonar and didn't get a single bite. We moved several times but got the same result. We did see this poor elk that had even worse luck than we did! When we were leaving some guy was trying to pull it out. [:/]

Thanks for the report. I had the same results on Sunday. Was there still a layer of slush in between the top and bottom layer of ice?

No slush at all. When we got there it was 1*F so every thing was frozen solid.

Just came down. Had numerous bites but that was it. There is still a layer of slush. There was 4 inches of white ice then a couple inches of slush and another two or three inches of black ice.
