7ft-3in. 2-piece rod rated for 6-12 pound line

A 7ft-3in. 2-piece rod rated for 6-12 pound line would be a great way to target lite biting Stripers or catfish.

I have used a 7ft Abu Garcia Orra rod matched with a Okuma Safina Pro Spin Reel.

Spool this up with Ande (pink) 10 pound line.
Then target top water boils with a castmaster spoon.

The longer rod and lighter line cast a long distance, keeps you from crashing or spooking the fish.
