Went out on the Premier out of Pierpoint yesterday with the usual club members. Danny was the skipper and we 13 anglers.
We had fresh dead (squid) for bait and first went way up the line to the white lighthouse for almost no action. Came back down toward Point Fermin and put in a another hours. Finally we went out to the rockpiles on the shoe and scratched around for a very few fish. I got a couple of bass, sculpin and a treefish. All released.
Ended the day by fishing the west entrance for a while for very few bites.
Still had fun. I'd say there were not 2 dozen legal fish caught on the boat all day.
