A record fish is DEAD!
#1
On November 23, 2003, the fourth largest bass of all time was found floating dead in Dixon Lake, Escondido, California. This female is the only fish to hold two seperate spots- Numbers 9 and 4- on the list of the top 10 largemouths. She was 20 pounds 12 ounces when Mike Long caught her in 2001, and nearly 1 pound heavier when Jed Dickerson (pictured) caught her in 2003. Long identified (via markings and a scale sample) and buried the 17-year-old fish, which apparently died of natural causes. (picture of bass in atachtment)

Thats from the Feb. issue of field and stream.

I dont know about you guys, but I wanted to see the long stading world record broke! And that was the fish that was going to do it! But I'm sure theres another one just like it swimming around waiting to be caught.

Hey there Bassmaster-ND,

It may seem cold blooded but I wish that guy had been frozen and have it studied by biologist to see what allowed it to live so long and save genetic material to make a robobass, bassimanator or just a plain old stronger, bigger bunch of fishys.
