Went to the lower Provo sunday... Saw a few risers but couldn't hook any on Drys... Even tho there were lots of small midges flying... Switched to San juan with zebra midge set up and caught 7 in 2 hrs...

Nice job on catching the browns and bows.

When I was fly fishing for browns on the Weber river couple 2 weeks ago I caught of the browns on PMD. I've tried a few midges but they wouldn't take a little sniffle even.

I've been doing really well with small dries on the lower provo. Size 18 and 20 adams and bwo patterns. My 10 year old even caught his first fish on a dry fly last Sunday.

That is so cool! What kind of waders did you get for your boy? and how soon was he out wading with you? My oldest is five and a half, pretty big for his age, and he is always wanting to go fishing with me. I take him every chance I get but he is getting too big for me to pack him around on the water much. Am I crazy for wanting to get my five year old some waders?

They are my wife's waders. [Smile] He's ten years old. This is the first year I've taken him out on the river with me. I didn't bring a pole for myself, I just stuck next to him and guided him through everything. I don't know if I would let him wade when the water is at its summer time levels, even with me standing over him the whole time.

You sir are a true family man. Dries on the Provo and you don't even string up a pole. I need to take a page out of your book on that one. The water we would be fishing is creek size rather than river. Still, I am thinking that I just need to let him get a little bigger. No sense in rushing it I suppose.
