i see alot of guys like to throw crankbaits for pike,and i do too. if i have the choice though,i love spinner baits for one reason,it is so easy to take one hook out of their mouths.9 sucks. i caught a 20" northern with a floating rapala 5", and it had every hook sunk into its jaw bone.once i got the lure ferom its mouth the middle hook was immeadiately removed, and i cut one of the hooks off the front treble, to make it a double hook.anyone else mosify lures to better deal with hook removal from these toothy little trouble makers?
