First time kayak and fish tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I'm going out in a kayak and fishing for the first time. I've never used a kayak before. I'm going down a river here in Indiana for about 8 miles. Any advice?

Haven't fished from a kayak before but really enjoyed being in the kayak, you are SO CLOSE to the water.

Well it didn't happen. There was rain friday night. Saturday morning the livery called and said they were closing for the day cause of the weather. Saturday then turned out to be a beautiful warm sunny day.
