I called my neighbor Jim at 9:30 and picked him up at his house at around 10:30. We fished for about 3 hours and I fished for another half hour after dropping him back off at his house. We started out fishing for bass in an area that has been good for me recently. The fish cooperated and we boated a few nice ones on lipless crankbaits and also lipped cranbaits. We were fishing an area in the 6.5 to 7ft range. The fish turned off and we went looking for some crappie. We boated 10-12 keepers on docks, mostly at an 8 count with 1/32 oz jigs, all were on my favorite color PA. We then checked a spot to see if the white bass had moved into the area and didn't get a bump. Fished another dock but the lift was too low to the water to get a good shot to the "sweet spot". It was getting hot and Jim called it quits but I went and fished an area for another 30 minutes getting two more keeper bass on a crankbait. One of them was the biggest of the day. Our biggest five bass would have been 16lbs and the biggest three 11lbs. Great few hours of fishing in the middle of the day. Not much flow today it didn't seem. If there had been I would have expected even better fishing. We all are so blessed to live in an area with such a great fishery!
