NAIFC Tournament Time - Experience Fishing on Hamlin Lake and Go For $10,000 Prize!
[Image: story_image.php?image_id=309] Photos by GnatOutdoors.com
January 14-16, 2011
The NAIFC Tournament takes place in January on Hamlin Lake, Ludington's hot spot for crappies and bluegill.

This NAIFC Pro Staff Seminar program is geared toward educating new amateur fishers to the world of tournaments and the best products in the industry. The seminar starts off Friday night before the tournament. After the seminar the teams will be paired with NAIFC Pro Staff in smaller groups. These group tutorials will include specific techniques on how to catch fish on the lake of the tournament. The teams will be invited to pre-fish on Hamlin Lake at 8:00am Saturday morning. The Pro Staff will fish with the amateur teams demonstrating techniques needed to compete at the tournament level. The fishers will feel less pressure to compete against the pros and will be on the fast track to becoming pros themselves, eventually becoming teachers to their friends and fishers in the local community.

Saturday Morning Kids Ice Camp
NAIFC Pro Staff will promote fishing education through demonstration in classroom tutorials. The Ice Camp will be advertised in the Schools and surrounding community. The kids and parents will then be invited to fish on Hamlin Lake. Each youth will be given sponsors products and promotional items. When available the kids will also enjoy a hot meal and drinks for a break from the action. Parents must accompany their kids during the event. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce a new way for kids to enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Fishing outdoors and introduction to the newest technology will give the parent and child a first look at ice fishing.
