Hows your pheasant season gone?

Mine...been out three times and been a real joy to watch my yellow lab work,such a bull in the brush. comes home with streaks of blood from the eyes, it looks like war paint. 1st trip out he flushed 6 roosters,2nd trip 2 hens 1 rooster,3rd trip 3 hens going back out in a couple hours,I hope there are a few roosters left out there. BTW I can't hit the broad side of a barn so no damage done to the population on my part.

Pheasnt hunting is still fun even if you don't get alot of chances to shoot. I still enjoy watching my two dogs work. I have taken 5 roosters so far including a couple with my 13 year old dog. If you hunt up in Box Elder county there seems to be a decent population of partridge this year. It is just good to get out. gshorthair
