its funny this came up, cause one day i was walking the desert wetlands park and peering into the water and seen what i SWORE was a peacock bass it was gone in seconds though, then we came up on some reeds and seen more of the same fish i was able to draw them up to the surface tossing lady bugs into the water, got a good look at them and they were not peacock bass but green terror cichlids, i'm guessing there is a small population of them around cause there were all kinds of sizes from large 6 inches to small 2 inchers, so maybe the same thing has happend in sunset park someone decided to empty their cichlid tank into sunset park.

I wouldn't trust that. I have fished Sunset park more times than most geezers, and Ive never seen crappie or peacock bass there. I'd need to see proof to belive that.

I think that's outdated info from before the renovation in '02 or '03. I remember there being a sign on one of the information bulletins that listed a whole bunch of species I'm fairly certain aren't in there.
