Glad to hear someone has found some to bite. Our fall run stayed outside Fishers Island, so the bite was nonexistent. We'll wait till spring now.

Stripers, in the California Delta. The fish are now moving up river. Bait fishing the best as the water is still murky. Shad and anchovies the best bait, even though I caught a few soaking night crawlers. Some reports of really " Big" fish in the twenty + range caught locally !! Fish On !

I have never fished for stripers yet. I met a new fishing buddy a couple of years ago who fishes stripers but since he has been taking me fishing we have been going wild for smallmouth bass and chain pickerel.

I am hoping he will get out a few times next season. I've heard how powerful they are and am looking forward to the experience.

It would be really cool to hook into one or two with my fly rod.

I'll fish for what ever is biting. It gets me fishing for lgmouth in March. Usuallyget some Pike as well. The River run for stripers, back to bass and the fluke season hits when it's the dog days of summer. Stripers is by far my faverite fish to eat. If you get a chance, go for them.A great fight as well.

That is sweet for your area. We do get them here that size, but most have to fish at night. Got one about that size 15 years ago, but never weighed it. Makes a great pic on the wall.
