Went to Orofino on September 16 for our annual Chromer fest. We did well, although I did get skunked the last day. We were in search of the elusive but well documented 40" metalhead but never did net one. May have had a one or two hooked but landing them is another story. Had a great time.
Those of you that hunt the Steelies this season...hope you are all successful!

Just got back from there. We went 3 for 7 Saturday pulling plugs. Flows are extremely low and water is gin clear. We wouldn't have been where we were if it weren't for a guide friend running our boat for us. Lots of fish in the water, but conditions for boaters in certain areas are downright dangerous. Plenty of time to wait for better conditions....lots of fish stacked up in the pond waiting for that before they journey up the Snake and Clearwater.

I thought that name looked familiar. Why the new tag?

As often as you change tags, I'm assuming you are under the Federal Witness Protection Program! Mike
