tilapia in lake mead?

my mom's friend catches them by the dozen -_- and they give it to her all the time and they taste delicious. they're huge too, like, 4-5 lbs. i asked my mom and she said they used a net (probably illegal). but i still dont know how they caught them.

on a side note, im going camping at kingman wash this labor day weekend (going saturday morning, leaving sunday night). anyone know how the fishing it out there at the moment?
