Isle of Palm Surf Fishing

I am very new to saltwater fishing, so excuse my lack of proper terminology. I've only fished fresh water prior to this.

I'm heading to Isle of Palm, SC and I picked up a saltwater surf rod, reel, 20 lb line, a tackle box, spinners and some hooks. From what I read online blue fish, whiting and sand sharks being plentiful in the area we'll be staying.

What would be some bait, lures and tackle you would suggest for the type of fishing I will be doing? Thanks.

shrimp and cut bait (mullet) would do for all that you have said.
