Parallel Casting along a pond bank
#1
Ok, heres the deal. I sometimes fish a sweet little pond. I have seen some bass along the bank in some cattails and other cover thrashing around and stirring up some food. The pond is shaped irregularly. No boats of any kind are allowed. I have tried casting to the bass and just can not seem to get my cast parallel enough to the bank to get close to them. Any suggestions/techniques for casting parallel to the bank? I know if I could present to the bass and reel in close to them I could slay 'em, just can't figure out quite how to cast to them. I hope I explained well enough and can get some help here. Regards, Samurai.

Put your boots on and get into the water. Only way I can think of to get the lure closer to shore line. Or tie a crankbait off center on the eye so it pulls to the left or right.

[#005000]I have fished a pond that was not allowed do have a boat. So I went and got my float tube and just stuck close to the edges and caught plenty of bass! Now i fact that a float tube is not a boat it is a float device, air chambers. Wear chest waders cause you may have to stand in water and mud! Not sure where you are from but plenty of eastern states have snapper turtles and leaches! So this is why I said to wear chest waders! But back to the reason why you are not allowed to have boats? Insurance is the main reason for not allowing. Just a thought for you![/#005000]

water won't hurt ya.

Whats in the water will hurt ya, lol just kidding if its a freshwater pond not many things to worry bout unless you live near alligators, like here the only thing is if crawdads which get annoying and pesky bluegill around your feet.
