Irresponsible Angler's
#1
First I would like to thank anyone who reads this post.

I moved to Florida about a year ago I have a pond out back which holds catfish, bluegill, and some nice large mouth bass.

I fish in the lake almost everyday, yesterday a neighbor had some of his friends over and they went fishing......no problem.

This morning I awoke to find three bass in the 4-7 pound range belly up in the lake clearly I was livid!!!!!

I would just like to remind people if you are going to "catch and release" please do it in a responsible manner don't ruin the joy of fishing for other anglers and future generations by being careless and irresponsible.

Thank you

No one likes to see a wasted fish. In these temps the bass should be brought in quickly and then released. They may have fought the fish to long and this may of killed it. Or useing live bait they sometimes engulf the bait and hook.

Its Sad that people just wont take a few extra minutes to make sure that the fish is okay. Speaking of cats I caught a beauty the other day tipping the scales just over 8lbs. I caught him on a spinner bait of all things I guess it must have dropped right in front of him!

If I had to guess they had the fish out of the water to long.

Water temp is also a huge factor its south florida for the love of mother and child the water right now feels like it came straight from my bath tub!

Hate when that happens, I was fishing and I saw this group of people at a catch and release only pond, sign and everything, catch a 17 in bass. They stomped it on the head and put it in a garbage bag, when i was riding my bike past that lake later, i change lakes throughout the day, i smelled fish on a grill and smoking coming from behind there car. Bass are trophy fish and should be released if you are supposed to and treated with respect.
