They make it interesting when the bass and cats don't bite, and they've stopped. I don't think my pond is very healthy...They bit ALL THE TIME last year, and now nothing.

Cold front? Pressure drop? Done spawning? Any of these could cause them to shut their mouths. Our crappies haven't even really started spawning yet.
Have you thought about having a DWR biologist take a look at your pond and analyzing the health of it? [signature]

I agree with Lunkerhunter2. Just getting in to fishing for Crappie this year but the storms moving though haven't helped at all.
