CWMU DEER TAG
#1
Credit card was hit today for a CWMU deer tag, not sure if it's the wife or me. Little Red Creek unit, we have the option to hunt as late as Nov. 10th. I've been told there are some good bucks in the area. Hopefully the landowner let's us hunt a decent area, not dump us in a S--t hole like my wife's CWMU elk hunt a few years ago on the Weber Florence Creek unit. We are excited just waitng to see who the lucky one is. Been a good year so far, WY. limited entry elk tags for both of us, Utah turkey tags for both of us , and now a deer tag for one of us. [Smile]

I'm not sure which one of us drew yet, but the wife had 4 and I had 7. Hopefully the guy that handles the hunts will let us hunt a decent area. A friend of mine who lives near Fruitland knows the area and says there are some pretty good bucks on the unit, especially if I can hunt in Nov. We are looking fwd to the hunt whom ever drew.

Nice! [Wink]

Not sure if you know this or not, but the CWMU database on the DWR website has been updated and you can get all kinds of info on all the different CWMUs. Here's the link to Little Red Creek

Cool [cool]

Better start saving for the Taxidermy bill this year, you might be giving him some serious business. [sly]

Thats great Pete you two got a tag. At least you can both go enjoy the hunt no matter who gets to shoulder the rifle.

Me, I just got points this year with dealing with Medical issues, however I now have 14 elk points![Smile] and 10 moose points.

I will be enjoying a great hunt or two here in the next year or two.[Wink]

If that is the area I think it is it's a great spot for some monsters! Does the nuskin guy own that land that cwmu is on? I used to hunt it every year when it was Bandana ranch both elk and deer! In november theres an area we used to call Grassy that would have a lot of deer staging for winter. My dad could tell you alot more about the area he hunted Bandana from the first year to the last and knows that place. PM me if you want more info.

I'm not sure if Nuskin still owns that or not, and I appreciate the help. Like I said I'm not sure if the wife or I drew the Tag yet. I'll send you a PM. Thanks for the response.

Congrats. My CC never gets hit until after they post the results, so there are no early presents for me!

checked my account last night after reading your post and oh yea I drew a deer tag. Most likely Southern rifle. I have not hunted deer on the boulders for a while now. Looks like I will be spending a lot of time down there scouting this summer and turkey hunting this spring. Seems like your luck is really coming through for you and your wife.

We are sr. citizens so we are glad we are drawing these tags while we can still enjoy the hunts together. Good luck on your hunts. The wife and I leave Friday for our turkey hunt, looks like the weather is going to co-operate. NOT.[frown]
