Got out with a good friend Saturday morning and done some Bass fishing. Of course it was hard for me to put down the Crappie rod and actually I kept it at arms length all morning and each time we got close to a place where I thought I might trick a Crappie into biting I would pick it up. We started off in the river throwing a buddy, swim bait and CB. Did not find many LM which liked our presentation. We decided to try it shallow and moved in to coves just off the river and we found a few hungry Bass on traps, buddies and a small CB. We then moved back into the creeks and caught a few more on jigs. Mike pretty much put it on me Saturday yet by the end of the day I made a big surge and at least equaled his numbers however it was the Ultra Light and 4lb test line with ol&amp;rsquo; faithful a BG pearl in a 1/32nd which landed me several Crappie. Mike did have the CATCH OF THE DAY a nice SM. The picture doesn&amp;rsquo;t do it justice but I am certain it was pushing 5 lb&amp;rsquo;s. All in all it was a good day and we/ Mike would have had a decent limit of those ol lazy fish and I got my Crappie fix as well! <br />
