put in at 117bridge,just after daylight, would have been earlier but when i was mixing up my gas last night ,i finally ran my old gas out,so i got 5 gal an put some of that green stabill in it,funny thing is you still need to mix the oil in with it,,,STUPID.OR OLD AGE,so when i took of this morning i got all the way to 24 before i remember the oil..can any one say u-turn.finally got to the river, the fog was bad ,had to use the bank for a guide to find crow creek turnoff, dont trust the map card in my lowrance.ha ha..beautiful morning,no wind, that comes later.had a funny feeling when i got there i was the only boat in the whole creek.that should have told me something.but i started out with my jig,got a hard hit at the point of the island ,at the first bouy, reeled up the slack,an set the hook.nothing, must have been a drum.i dont know,,.water temp was 44 to 47 when i left.the water was down about 2 ft.from what i could tell.i tried a trap on the edge of the creek an a spinnerbait ,slow rolled, dont tell anybody but i even tried a BIG LIZARD,one of these days it going to work.the wind started up but i was protected from it from the high banks.4 or 5 boats came in .i did see a man an his son tearing the small bass up at the mouth of the creek with minnows, one after another.funny thing is they were crappie fishing an was upset over the bass...? i kept watching the channel ,because the wind was getting very hard.i was getting ready for the ride back at the opening of the creek, putting everything up when a guy in a stratos, came down the river an at the last minute decided to make a hard right into crowcreek, him an his statos came plum out of the water about 3 times, took my breath,i dont know about him.the waves were rolling, looked like 3 footers.the waves were so high that i surfed all the way back,i would get up on the waves an my boat would act like a surf board.kind of a funny feeling.i got one more thing to say .the FLW boys are in town an if they are all like the one i saw today.THAY ARE A CLASS ACT.this guy turned into the creek from the south ,he had about 5 boats between me an him ,me being the last one before he could open it up.well he idled all the way through the boats which was about 150 yards ,an then idled past me another 20 yards before he kicked it .i thought that showed alot of class.he was in the GOOD-WILL BOAT.if anybody knows him.i caught only one bass ,thought it was a spot ,looked like a spot ,fought like a spot, but no patch.he was 14 inches.thats all i got ,was hoping to give a better report.maybe next week
