Well, the AL deer season is over- time to break back in to fishing. And what a first day we had! Dave (slo-ride) played guide today, and after scootin' back and forth below the tailrace for awhile, he put us on the fish. We tried Foley spoons, trolling plugs, and popping castmaster spoons off the bottom before really putting a pattern together. We fished in water from 15' to +30' deep, but the vast majority of fish came off the bottom in around 20' of water. Water temp was stayed around 47 degrees.
We didn't keep count but we probably boated around 40 fish (kept best 20 for the fry-pan). Most were right around 1.25-1.75 lbs, but we had a few that were right @ 2 lbs. Big fish of the day was Dave's 12-9 drum.
Jamie put the whoopin' on us again though. She was catching 2 fish to every one of mine and Daves. Awesome day to be out. Thanks again for an incredible trip!
