when yuba is draining no fishing allowed?

a friend of mine told me that while yuba is being drained and afterwards there is no fishing going to be allowed even from the banks! does anybody know anything about that? seems to be a waste of fish if they dont even let people cacth some![pirate]

The way I understand it they will build a temporary dam in front of the old one, keep the water in the lake while they do the work, and the fish will be fine. They wont be wasted and fishing should resume. I bet you will hear lots of rumors flying around over the next little while. Just remember the DWR has a huge investment in the rescource and will do all they can to utilize it. The fish wont be wasted. If they were going to just let it all drain the limit would have likley been removed to allow for the best use of the rescource.
