Fished Willard yesterday from the bank by the south marina, had a few tap taps, but nothing major until I finally hooked into a wiper, was using a circle hook that was snelled that some friends gave my son for easter. Never again will I use a snelled hook the line broke right where the line was tied to the hook.Had a fight for about 5 sec. long enough to get the addrenaline flowing knowing it was a wiper.Should of known better.

Don't you just hate it when those wipers do that to you. After reading another one of your post I can see you have caught a few wiper(30 in one day), Catching wipers tend to put your fishing gear to the test. It won't be long now until it's "Wiper Time" and the fishing starts getting good. WH2

You are right I can't wait for wiper time. We don't have a boat so we do pretty good from shore. But since we realized how good they are to eat, we haven't been able to land one.But I haven't given up yet.
