Some fishing reports
#1
quanicasee river is showing a little perch action Caught a few more in ditch on Thomas Rd.
[#ffffff]It's on!!!!! Lots of walleye being taken from all over the river. Wyandotte area to Great Lakes seems to be producing the most fish. Edison is pretty slow this year. Handlining cranks definitely is working better than jigging.[/#ffffff]
Trenton channel a few walleye are showing up .Fished out of Bolles Harbor in the dumping grounds area. We got onto a school of fish on a hump in 15' of water. We took our limit in 3 hours. Saw 6 other boats around us all day, allot different than the river circus! Caught 1/2 on Cicads the other 1/2 jigging with minnows.

huron river steelhead are being cought , Perch and crappie are being taken on minnows in the backwater.

Tawas smelt dipping should come to a head this weekend . Pier anglers in the bay were catching a few walleye and brown trout.

Most of the ice on the Bay is gone and some boats are starting to venture out. I’m hearing a few stories of Walleye being taken off of Linwood in 9-14 feet of water, but things are just getting started. There are some large ice chunks and pileups out there, so be very careful.

#20 blue winged ollives and #12 black stoneflys are working on the Au Sable now .I will be there this weekend with the boat[Image: fish-on.gif] .

Fishing has been spotty in Ludington. Need to make the right choices--pay attention to the winds from the days before. Friday the fishing was good just north of the pier heads. Then with the NW winds the water moved and the fish were gone. Some Browns and Steelhead are being caught on body baits and spoons. Pick your favorites, the ones you have confidence in and troll shallow. Remember the Lake Trout are not in season and must be thrown back.

[#008000]Good to fair numbers are being taken in the PM and Lower sections of the Little Manistee rivers. Also just below Tippy Dam some fish are being caught.[#000000]Finally a few decent days on the river. The water temps are finally getting up there, and there are a few winter fish poking around the gravel. Silver fresh fish are in the pools. Pretty much any kind of water is holding fish right now, you just need to keep looking for them. Larger egg flies and larger nymphs are working as the water is still a bit tinted.[/#000000][/#008000]
[#008000][#000000]Our river guides are reporting good catches most days with a few slow days mixed in. The lower section of the Big Manistee and Manistee Lake have been producing better the past few days as more fish begin their Spring spawning run up the river.[/#000000][/#008000]
