Got there at 6 and found a tourney under way. [unsure] Headed for all the old spots and came up short until 12:15 when Bob boats a 17 1/2" Smallie.[crazy] Looks like some one did a snatch and drop. He got a 2lb lgmouth at 1 and we called it. Beavers in watermelon got the two fish in at shallow water. Dog days are here. [unsure]

i hate getting to a lake only to find a tourny going on.good going on the 2 fish,i hope some tourny guys saw them,lol.it looks like the heat is on untill sat.cant wait unill it break,i dont do good it this stuff.
i didnt get out this week,had a couple of firewood calls,and next week is cindy's b-day,might try for some blue crabs next week.
the boat should be running this week,they took the lower end apart and found a broken tooth,so they are replacing all the bearing since the oil was so full of metal flakes.the est.cost $2500

OOCH, thats alot of coin. Needed to be done I guess. Glad to see the fish are getting more active your way. I'll go out again with bass ackwards in a few weeks and get my uncle to take pop and myself out again this year for fluke. Summer is too short.

I thought you had that boat on the water...

still, its better going that way than buying a used lower end and not knowing what you got....

and I thought fixing my boat was a pain....

on the up side you still have half a season left. Any thoughts on how far out you go for trial runs? or are you going to go up river for trial runs to be on the safe side?

the boats in the water,the marina pulled it out ,and fixed it,the parts had to come from seattle wash.so we had to wait a few extra days.
our trail run was all over the sound.if it broke we would call seatow.the motor seemed alot quieter than what it was the past couple years,it didnt have that laboring sound,like it was working hard all the time.but the oil looked fine in the past.so time will tell
