float tubes in fishing tournys??
#1
Does anyone know of any fishing clubs or tournaments in the Boise area that allow float tubes to participate? Or even one that is exclusivley float tube.

I have looked at tournament regulations for several of the local bass clubs and they all require fisherman to be in a boat with a livewell.

If you know anything, please let me know,

Thanx,
Rob

I don't know of any Idaho bass tournaments that don't require a "bass boat". There are some tournaments that you could fish from a float tube though. The F&G website lists the scheduled fishing tournaments. The list is helpful in letting me know what places to avoid on certain days.
Here's a link.

Thanks Brian,

I knew about that part of the F&G website. I would really like to participate in a float tube/pontoon tournament, just haven't found any.

IF indeed none exist, I may look into creating one. IF anybody would be interested in this sort of thing, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. If I get enough feedback, I might be willing to start a float tube club and/or tournament. I'll have to contact F&G to find out the particulars but I think it would be a great endevour for those of us that don't use petroleum when we fish.

If anyone is interested in this,,, please post in this thread or PM me so I can get an idea of the volume of interest.

Thanx,
Rob
