Friday- Three anglers got out early and caught 9 kokes and lost 4 more in about 2 hours of fishing. We were trolling about 2.3 mph, near the mouth of Jarvies. Needlefish in #2 pearl/red running at 50-55 ft was the ticket.
Smallmouth action was also good, throwing curly-tail jigs, hula grubs, and small Rapala crankbaits in earth tone colors. Water temp was 68-70 F.
Saturday- Two anglers caught another 6 kokes (lost 4 more) and one 6 lb laker in about 2.5 hours of fishing near the mouth of Jarvies. Lure choice was more variable, and we caught fish on #2 Needlefish in pearl/white, pearl bikini, and flourescent green hot tiger. Boat speed was about 2.1 mph and lure depth was 45-55 ft.
Smallmouth action still hot while pitching hula grubs and jigs. Surface temp 69F.
Sunday- Slower fishing. Three anglers only mangaged to land 5 kokes in about 3 hours of fishing. We marked a lot of fish, but they were tight-lipped. We tried almost everything in the box, and they still preferred the #2 Needlefish in pearl/white. We caught two kokes later, trolling a Triple Teaser in rainbow. Lure depth was 45-60 ft and boat speed was 2.1 mph.
Hope it helps.
