in attempts to upgrade our 16 species contest we would like to have some imput from our members.

Ideas are alwasys welcome,

but more improtant is I would like to know what species you most commonly target.

if it is seasonal please state that it is a seasonal specisies.

It is important that you list all the fish you target.

Statewide , I belive in this order ;
1, Walleye
2, Perch
3, Crappie
4, Bass , smallmouth
5, Bass , largemouth
6, Bluegills
7, Muskey
8, Brown trout
9, Salmon (primarily King and Coho on the Great Lakes)
10, White Bass
11 , Catfish , all species
12 Whitefish

Fish that have special target seasons or followings by sportspersons ;
1 Walleye ,Spring, Rivers and Lakes
2 Smelt , Spring , Great Lakes
3 Bass LMB,SMB , all waters
4 Steelhead , Spring , Rivers
5 Salmon , Fall, Rivers
6 Trout and Whitefish , Spring , Rivers and Lakes
7 Muskey, Spring and Fall , Lakes
8 Suckers , Spring , Rivers
9 Stergon , Winter , Lakes
10 Perch , Summer , all waters
11 Catfish , Summer
12 Carp , Spring , Rivers and Marshes
13 Burbot , Winter/Spring

Shad and Carp are targeted as a delicay (? spelling ) by some segments of the population around the Detroit metro area .

In my area ,
Bluegills and Sunfishes reign supreme
Crappie a close second
Third place belongs to Walleye
Fourth , Northern Pike
Fifth place , Suckers
Sixth , Perch
Seventh , Smelt
Eighth ,Basses
Number nine , Brown Trout
10 Minominee (? spelling )

Ice Fishing
Perch
Gills and sunfishes
Northern Pike
Muskey
Stergon
Lake Trout

Bow Fishing
Carp , Gar pike and Bowfin .
