Fly Goddess, what about your steelhead trip?
#1
[Smile] The last I knew, you were about to go out to the coast and try on some of the Steelhead on flies.
So how'd that come out?

Steelhead are tough to catch, no mater what your using.

Did you get any on ya?

That wasn't me. However I will be trying up home way next Feb. for some. I know it is all in the timing so hopefully I will be lucky enough to be there at the right time.

[unsure]Ooops, it was here http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gfo...ead#unread

I jumped the gun a little bit. I was so excited about Steelhead fishing I guess.

Ahhhh well, I guess I'll quit this deaming on the PC and get back to fixing my boat so I can go Crappie fishing.
Crappie is not quite the "Trout Fishing" of the south, but it's good enough to hold out in front of me, like a Corncob to a Mule.
Back at it right now, right this minute, poste haste, immediatly.....

[green]Hey there Thudpucker - you are getting just like me. Reading inbetwwen the lines that is. Here is FGD quote " [#bf0000]They planted Kamloop at the Lodge and those guys are already getting HUGE! Maybe they will get STEELHEAD size"[/#bf0000]. Catching a steelhead on spinning gear was tough enough can't imagine trying to catch one on a fly.[/green]

[black]That's why I bought that ten foot 8 weight with the 3" fighting butt. Wahooo! I even got smart on the line. Bought one Battenkill BBS V and spooled it with multi tip line so I only need one. Multi tips are better in rivers and that is where the Steelies are.[/black]

[blush] Wow, I guess it's time for me to go fishing.

I had to put a new Transome in my old boat.
It's in now and I should go down to the water insetad of messing up these boards.

On the way I'll stop to shop for some good looking Crappie flies.

My 'pologies'
