All you stoneheads get ready. I was out fishing a small creek within 1 hour of SLC. Fishing was great on prince nymphs and then the fish really started to key in on the huge caddis hatch underway and I cleaned up with a green humpy. Probably caught 25 - 30 fish in less than 3 hours. Almost all in the 12- 16 inch range. More importantly I saw my first stonefly out. I bet within a week or less from past experiences the stonefly hatches will be move up the creeks and rivers. The key this year is to find those few places where the run off is already over or the water is fishable below a damn.
