spent the day on cheatham yesterday with my father. What an awesome day to be alive! Man it was beautiful yesterday. We fished from just above the dam all the way up to the bridge at Ashland City. Never stayed at any one place to long. Caught skipjack, shad (lol) largemouth, bream, striped bass and a flathead catfish....very few of each and only the flathead had any size, prolly 7 or 8 pounds.
The water was pretty dirty, mostly from the Harpeth and below. Ran into quite a few snakes as well. The fishin wasn't great...we tried cut bait (that got the flathead), spinners, jigs and crankbaits.
I REALLY need to get a digital camera and start posting pics!! [unsure]
