finally went out for first time this year.......

finally, went out fishing for the first time almost a year(boy have i been missing it). since, i live in adrian, michigan; i don't have very many lakes or ponds my way but i managed to get out to Hudson Lake State Park(since i've never been there), was out with my finacee for about 3 hours and didn't do to bad. had tons of bites but only managed to get 6 in(2 smallmouth's, 2 crappie, and 2 bluegills)! going out tomorrow to Hudson Lake again while finacee is a work for about 4 hours. hoping to get out more this year! []

thank you, whitedog. i had fun today even thou my finacee's older brother broke my fishing pole i had for ten years from my grandpa when i was 10(20 now! yep a youngin![]). since i let him borrow it last year since i couldn't find time to go. but i got me a new shakespear rod and reel combo from wal-mart for a meer 22.95! hope to open a can of whoop ass tomorrow!

just got back from Hudson Lake.... didn't really do all that well (very windy). only caught 2 pretty good size smallmouth bass but none that we're keepers. hoping to get out this week some time to goto Lost Nations to go just jumbo bluegill and rock bass fishing.

Forgive me if I'm wrong... but I don't think it is legal to be targeting bass right now, not saying that you were targeting them.

wasn't trying to get any bass, fieldwalker. just get what i hook and throw them back.

you are absolutly right, that is the new law that went in to affect last year.

but one cant tell the fish that they are not suspost to not hit when the season is not open.

there are always exceptions to the rule. privetly owned ponds and lakes. do not take them off the property because you will be prosicuted.

I read the whole string , pretty deacent trips I'de say [].
I used to take my now Mrs. out on fishing dates when we first met . One trip we had rented a boat at Harsen's Islane up in Lake St. Clare . (HELPFULL HINT WHEN TAKING A LADY FISHING , BRING PLENTY OF SUNSCREEN !)
We ended up sunburnt and then went thru a summer thunderstorm all the way back to the dock .
She was quite the trooper on that trip , Most girls would have had enough of a date like that but she went again, and again . The rest is history .
