How do you straighten a bend ?
#1
[green]Have an old bamboo rod which has a bend in the rod's tip section. See picture. Any suggestions on how to straighten this out? Thought about applying steam but I'm afraid that might loosen the adhesive, varnish etc.[/green]

the way I have straightened a fiberglass rod is bend it in the opposite direction and leave it for a while and hit it with a hair dryer. one thing I've noticed about old hexagone 3 piece rods is that they have slight curves to them. the one I have is bent the ones my 2 friends have are also. later chuck
