Gentleman 3/4day Fishing Report 6/12/05

We went out on the Gentleman 3/4 day fishing boat out of Channel Islands Sportfishing Landing.

The boat left on time with Capt John, DH Brian, DH Jim, PH Sean and Cathy at the Spatula.

44 passengers.

After Saturdays tragedy, the decision was made to go back to Harrisons Reef. The fishing started off with a bang for some and slow for others.

We got our limits on Boccacios in about 1/2 hour and had to move on.

We caught the regular batch of mish mash including : mich jaggers, barber poles, Reds, Strawberries, Browns, Chile Peppers, Widows, Skittles and even a gigantic Johnny Bass that took JP.

Several short lings hit the C&R list.

The fishing was a little more productive as I managed to scratch up 46 of the 240 fish that were landed with 44 passengers on board.

We got back to the landing at 4:00 sharp.[cool]

Hey there TubeN2,

Nice haul on the fishys. Only 20% of the catch ! I thought 5% of the anglers caught 95% of the fish! ha ha

2 other guys had 30 each. Some didn't catch any but still went home with a Grouper in the bag. Others got to share in the spoils of those who were catching.

It wouldn't be fair for me to catch all off the fish. If that were to happen, then DFG would put a line size restriction on Blonde Anglers.[pirate]
