We went to the small fishing piers near the Catalina Landing directly behind Pierpoint Landing.
We got there around 11:30 pm and stayed until around 4:30 am to catch the boat at LA Harbor Sportfishing Landing.
We caught a couple of small Spotfin Croakers and 1 small yellow fin croaker inspite of the 54 degree water temp.[cool]

Hi there TubeN2,
As you know, there are five little mini-piers along that area in front of the QM2. Did you notice the numbers on the parking lot? Ohhhhh yaaaaa the public fishing piers access will be compromised by the city putting in pay parking in the not-to-distant-future.
Validation will be provided for pierpoint anglers otherwise .... it's eat ???? for the public! They build facilities with OUR money then make us pay to use it! Kinda like consutants huh!

Those are the ones that we will usually fish off of while awaiting the Cat Express. Lately we have been going on the other side of Rainbow harbor and getting on the western most mini pier.
A gentleman that we met out there told us of some good Calicoes in the area. He said that he uses ghost shrimp for the best success.[cool]
