Local LA Boats Entering Winter Season
#1

Here on the southern California local saltwater scene, our 1/2 and 3/4 day boats are starting the Winter rock fishing season in a couple of weeks time.

Many boats are already in the mode with their schedules as well as concentrating on trips going for calicos, white fish, sheephead, ling cod, and the occasional barracuda and still awsome bonito (the Rodney Dangerfield of the sportfish world) bite.

Fishing on the beach and harbors is still good for halibut, BSP, YFC, corbina, etc. And.......Lots of lepoard sharks around.

Soon it'll be the additional species of reds, salmon grouper, chili peppers, sculpin, and cabazon that become the focus of many deep water trips.
