Pineview 8-7-04
#1
Had a nice evening at Pineview yesterday. Me and a buddy launched my boat and first fished the narrows, we each caught a few small smallies (4-6 inches) but nothing big. We motored over and fished near Anderson Cove w/ just a few more small ones to our belts. I needed to run my engine so we sped over and fished a nice little cove on the north side of the lake. I am not sure if it is named or not, it was the next big cove over to the east from the old highway. We fished along the weedline and the last fish I caught was a 13" smallie, pretty chunky and looked real healthy. I think there are some OK sized smallies in there, just few and far between. I caught the big one on a perch pattern yo-zuri and the rest of the smallies on a 4" watermelon yamamoto. Over all not a bad day.

Here is a pic of the boat I bought. This isn't my boat but it is a pic I found on the internet and is the exact same as mine minus a few improvements I made on it; including a new rear casting deck, eagle 480 fishhawk fishfinder, Kenwood Marine CD player and 4-6" marine speakers, 55 lb. thrust electric trolling motor and of course several cabelas rodholders and beer holders too! She is definately seaworthy and yesterday we put the first fish on her decks. It is a 1985 Fisher - 16 feet - and a 75 hp Evinrude on the rear. If you see me on the water say hello.
