Monday......August 2, 2004 [#000080] Hello Everyone,
[/#000080]
It's August and we're well into "tuna time," as the adult Kings
start staging of the river mouths of the Great Lakes.
[#ff0000]Lk. Michigan & Lake Huron Report [/#ff0000]
Central to northern Lake Michigan is showing good opportunities
on Kings from 15 to 20 pounds. Over twenties are not as plentiful,
but fish to 24 pounds are being reported fairly often. In my area,
Ludington's bath-house to a couple miles north of Big Point Sable has
been best. Good reports are coming from Frankfort's Big Point Betsie too.
The key to these reports are finding the bait fish. If you find bait,
generally you're gonna have non-stop action. Manistee's water temps
have been goofy, where one day the fish have been in 30 feet of water,
then one day later warm water moves in and the fish are 100 feet down.
Consistent action in Manistee and Onekama with a stable weather
pattern forecast for the next 6 days.
I haven't heard many encouraging words about Lake Huron's Salmon
Fishery yet. Salmon have been scarce and Kings over 10 pounds are rare. [#ff0000]C[/#ff0000][#ff0000]apt. John's "On-Line Reel-Flashers"[/#ff0000]

to the theory, less is more. Understanding that a Salmon's sense of smell
is a deadly tool that can be used against them is another step in the
right direction to limit catches.
While my product works great with flies, or spoons to reach it's full potential
pulling cut bait should be considered. Capt. Steve "Roscoe" Burns just won
a Steelheaders tournament in Ludington (7/31/04) pulling my flasher
and meat exclusively. There were close to 40 boats in this event
and his victory margin was by over 30 pounds!

There's no in the world that wants to make sure your time on the water is more
productive then me. My reason?.....I've invested every spare dime I had into
Reel-Flasher tooling and production. I've developed a special double treble hook
setup for meat rigs that means a 90% hookup ratio according to my tests.

This new product is processed in the USA and has special scent enhancing
properties. I'll have this great product in 6 strips in a re-closeable container
in Manistee. Zajac's Bait and Tackle in Manistee carries a complete line
of my flashers and soon will have this bait too.
I will also have whole herring in various sizes. I used whole herring with
great success the last time off the dock. While it's bothersome to cut your
own strips, it does work! Here's a tip on using whole herring: use the side
