3/4 day trip for barracuda, calicos, and sand bass

Hey there guys,

Had a decent trip on the Tradition (old Pierpoint 3/4 day boat). Went to the horseshoe kelp for barracuda and calicos to wait out the water's warming further down south.

After a good number of fish we headed down and fished a bit but the water temp was in the low sixtys so it was back up to the shoe to finish off the day with limits of barracuda and a good number of calico.

Plastics were being ignored and sardines not much better. Anchovies were the blue plate special today. Light line was pretty important too.

Great 3/4 day trip with some club buddies.

Those guys can be pesky sometimes when it comes to presentation of the lures. I went out of Oxnard over the weekend. The Sandies were so thick, it didn't matter what you threw out. They were on it.

Guys were even pulling up the sandies on the Tadys of all colors. My son and I were just throwing out whole squid and catching nice sized ones.
