Laughlin area fishing
#1
Well, long time no posts, i know, but with school and work, I havn't had the time to fish until now... when its 200 degrees out, [cool]

Anyhow, mom, dad and I are heading down to Laughlin for a few days and with the Colorado river and Lake Mohave(sp) right there, was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to go, shore wise...

I have a fly rod, so thats an option...

If you have a vehicle try Princess Cove. Looks like Ok shore fishing in that area and fact that it is about 8 miles upstream from Katherine Landing makes it a little more remote. Also a scenic place. To get there drive as if going to Katherine Landing and turn off north towards Telephone Cove. Follow the poor signs - you will make a right turn just before the Power lines onto a dirt road. The road is very good - but washboarded and about 7 miles to the boat launch ramp. Try fishing the coves upstream of the launch area. Princess Cove Ramp is not on the maps we have so maybe ask a ranger if you need directions. Take a spinning rod and some plastic or jigs/ shad swimbaits . Its brushy shore in many places and wind from the SW frequently.
