Hey if anyone says deep seafishing is a bore, I'm here to tell you our trip was fantastic!! An hour out of port we hadn't had a hit. All of a sudden, all hell broke loose. I was first up in the chair and was met with the power and finesse of a white marlin. One half hour later we had the dude in the boat, 130lbs., 6 foot in length(pictures will come when the rest are developed).

A buddy was up next and after about 20 minutes boated a beautiful 40lb. Mai Mai.

My son Eric was next. He hooked a very aggressive Wahoo who wanted no part of the boat. Miguel, the guide, suggested I help my son with this "BULL!!" After 5 minutes we heard the Cap and Miguel shouting universal expletives towards the back of the boat. We kept battling. When the fish was within 50 feet Miguel shouted "That devil took it. He bit em'".

We still didn't understand all the commotion until we gaffed the former 5 foot Wahoo. A shark had come up behind this guy and bit off half of Eric's fish.WOW WOW WOW. Talk about a fun three hours.

If anyone needs mor info let me know. This boat, these guys were excellent. Ours was one of only two boats to get fish the whole week we were there.

that's too bad when we have to do our part on conservation and feed the local species. That's how it goes sometimes. It sounds like you had a fun time. I hope to be heading down that way pretty soon.
